SENIOR PASTOR - Dave Greenhood I have a been the senior pastor at First Free for over 14 years. I am responsible for giving direction, creating, maintaining and casting of our core vision/identity as a church. I also work to make sure all of our ministries reflect that vision. I am responsible for the weekend teaching and for giving leadership to the church staff. I've been married to Carol for 26 years. |

PASTOR OF WORSHIP MINISTRIES -
Russ Ryherd My wife Denise and I have been at First E Free since I graduated from seminary in May of 2002. As the Worship Pastor, my primary role is to develop a team to lead this body of believers into God's presence where we can engage with God and our perspective on life can be realigned. Having that goal in mind, I plan, lead and oversee everything pertaining to music and flow in our worship services. I also work closely with our Men's Ministries Team to create small groups where discipleship and open honest accountability can take place. Most recently I have begun teaching the college age Sunday school class and overseeing a periodic doctrine seminar. I met Denise during college. We have been married for 13 years and have two young daughters. |

PASTOR OF STUDENT MINISTRIES -
JD Bowman I greatly enjoy serving in the ministry here at First E. Free as I am able to communicate God's Word and live out the gospel to the students and their families here at our church and the Rapid City area. I am a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and Columbia Biblical Seminary (SC) and have served as pastor of student ministry since 1998. My wife, Kelly, and I boast of a family of diversity. I grew up in Tennessee and Kelly in Wisconsin. Our daughters Hannah (10) and Micaiah (8), were born in Columbia, SC, and our sons Emmett (4) and Zachary (2), were both born in Liberia, West Africa. My framework for student ministry includes not just students, but ministry to the "everyday youth pastors," their parents . . . involving parents not just as chauffeurs and snack providers, but helping them to get involved with their teenagers in the own home. |

DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION
MINISTRIES - Lauralee Holsing I serve as the director of education ministries, meaning I oversee programs and staffing for Sunday School, Children's Church, AWANA, and other educational endeavors of our church. I felt God's call into ministry when I was a teenager. Although it has been a long journey into full-time ministry, God has used all of my previous experiences in preparing me for this position. With God, nothing is ever wasted! I have three grown children--Jill, Joel & Jerry--living in far-away places across the globe. (Too far!) |

OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR - Susan
Dzintars I serve as the office administrator at First Free and oversee the day-to-day clerical responsibilities of the church office. Specific duties include preparing the Sunday church bulletin and keeping the church calendar up-to-date. My office hours are Monday 8:00 am – 2:30 pm, Tuesday and Thursday 8:00 am – 2:00 pm, and Friday 8:00 am – noon. My husband, Gunar, works as an engineer for the City of Rapid City and oversees the Common Energy Plant. I have three grown sons: Chad, Rapid City; Matt, Deerfield Beach, Florida; and Josh, Kansas City, Kansas. Note: You may call or email announcements for the Sunday bulletin to me at the church office by Thursday at 9:00 am. |

OFFICE ASSISTANT - Carol
Greenhood Yes, I am married to the senior pastor and decided I just didn't have enough to do! (JOKE) Honestly, I am pleased to be helping cover the office by working two afternoons a week and on Wednesday. Items that are my usual responsibility are the prayer calendar and Sunday morning announcement slides, plus helping with other projects assigned by the staff. And I do manage to straighten, organize, or even toss, out-of-place items around the church, so watch out! What a privilege to be serving First Free these 14+ years! They have been great at allowing me to serve alongside Dave and be myself....all at the same time! We've no children of our own so the church family is "our family". I grew up in Lincoln NE and worked at a Christian publishing house and then full-time on a camp staff before marrying Dave. I knew I would always want to be in vocational Christian minis try...I didn't know I would marry a pastor to do it! God is good! |

FINANCE ADMINISTRATOR - Carrie
Nielsen I grew up attending First Free and came on as part-time staff four years ago. I am married to Shaun and we have 3 girls. I serve First Free by taking care of the administrative details of church finances which includes writing checks and maintaining bookkeeping records for the Deacon Ministry team. |

CUSTODIAN - Ken Thompson I joined the First Free team almost 5 years ago. I am married to Hazele. We have 7 grown children and 4 grandchildren. At First Free I am responsible for keeping the facilities clean and making sure the rooms are set up for various classes, meetings, and events held at the church. I am also the leader of the Trustees. |
